Overview
Goethe A1: German Grammar teaches the grammar the A1 level is built on, one topic at a time. Twenty-two subjects run from the alphabet and pronunciation through personal pronouns, articles, present-tense conjugation, plurals and word order — each explained in plain German with an English reading of every card, then practised until it holds. Topics are split across A1.1 and A1.2 so you always know what comes next, and audio examples, listening sets and reading tests turn a rule you have just read into something you can actually hear and use.

- What is the difference between this and the Goethe A1 exam trainer?
- This app teaches grammar: 22 topics explained from scratch and then drilled. Goethe A1 rehearses the exam itself — its sections, task types and format. If you are starting German from zero, grammar first tends to make the exam practice land better.
- Do I need to know any German already?
- No. It starts at the alphabet and pronunciation and assumes nothing. Every German explanation can be read in English with a tap, so you are never stuck on a rule because of the wording.
- What do the 22 topics cover?
- The full A1 grammar syllabus — the alphabet and pronunciation, personal pronouns in the nominative, definite and indefinite articles, present-tense verb conjugation, noun plurals, sentence structure and word order, and the rest of the level, ordered A1.1 then A1.2.
- What does it cost?
