Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms
Use of “English A1: Grammar & Words” (the “App”) means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use the App.
2. Independent Application Disclaimer
The App is independent and unofficial. It is not affiliated with the Council of Europe, Cambridge Assessment English, the British Council, or any examination or certification body, and nothing in it is endorsed by them.
Important notices:
- Developer: Melih Firat (indie developer)
- “A1” refers to the level described by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and appears for reference only
- The lessons, exercises, exams and word lists in the App are study material written for the App. They are not past papers and not official test material
- The App issues no certificate and its results have no official standing
3. Trademark and Copyright
Any third-party names or marks that appear in the App are the property of their respective owners. This App does not claim rights to them, and their use is descriptive — to say what level the App teaches and what it prepares you for.
The App is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them.
4. Purchases and Subscriptions
The App is free to download. The first three grammar topics are free to use, with no account and no ads. A Pro upgrade unlocks the full content and is offered in two forms:

- Auto-renewing subscription
Purchase Terms:
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew at the current rate unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
- Payment: Charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds: Handled by Apple and subject to its policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.
- Price Changes: Advance notice will be provided; continuing use after a change indicates acceptance.
- Restore: Use “Restore Purchases” on a new device to regain access with the same Apple ID.
- Free content: The first three topics remain available without any purchase.
Pro Features Include:
- All 36 A1 grammar topics across the seven stages
- Every practice exercise — gap fills, word-order builders, listening questions and topic exams
- The complete 893-word vocabulary list across sixteen categories, with audio and example sentences
- Ten-question tests over any category or the whole A1 list
- Everything available offline, with no ads
5. User Data
You may not share your subscription.
Your information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend access that violates these terms.
6. Intellectual Property
App Content: The grammar explanations, conjugation tables, exercises, exams, audio recordings, word lists and translations are ours. You receive a limited license to use them for personal, non-commercial study.
Restrictions: Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, or sell any App content.
User Content: You retain rights to content you create — including anything you type into an exercise, which stays on your device. You grant a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and use such content in the App.
7. Educational Purpose and Self-Assessment
The App is a study tool for beginner English at the A1 level. It does not guarantee any certificate or exam result, and it is not itself an exam. Actual language progress depends on multiple factors.
The topic exams, word tests, XP and streaks are practice and motivation features. Any score the App shows is an estimate produced for practice. It is not an official assessment, it binds no examiner, and it says nothing about how an official sitting of any English exam would be graded.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided “AS IS”:
- No express warranties
- No guaranteed accuracy, completeness, or availability
- No liability for damages from use
- Not a substitute for a language course, a teacher, or official exam preparation materials
- Not affiliated with any certification body
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed, the developer is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages related to the App. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding a claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may terminate access for violations of these terms.
On termination, your license ends and you must stop using the App.
11. Modifications to Terms
We may change these terms. Changes are effective upon posting. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Turkey laws, without conflict-of-law provisions.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and Melih Firat concerning use of the App and supersede prior agreements.
By using the App, you acknowledge you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
