Overview
English A1: Grammar & Words teaches beginner English grammar in your own language and then makes you use it. Thirty-six topics run in the order they build — from the alphabet and numbers, through "to be", articles, plurals and pronouns, to the present simple, the past simple and "going to" — across seven stages, each leaning on the one before. Every rule is shown rather than told: colour-coded conjugation tables, before-and-after transformations, and example sentences you tap to hear in British English. Gap fills, word-order builders, listening questions and a short exam close each topic, so you find out straight away whether the rule stuck. Alongside the grammar sits an 893-word vocabulary deck in sixteen categories, each card carrying pronunciation audio, the meaning in your language and an example sentence, plus ten-question tests over any category or the whole A1 list.

Questions
Before you download English A1: Grammar & Words.
- Do I need to know any English already?
- No. It starts at the alphabet and numbers and assumes nothing. Every explanation is written in your own language — English, German, Spanish, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Malay, Russian, Thai, Turkish or Vietnamese — so you are never stuck on a rule because of the wording.
- What do the 36 topics cover?
- The full A1 grammar syllabus, in seven stages: the alphabet, numbers and subject pronouns; "to be" with its negatives, questions and short answers; articles, plurals and possessives; the present simple; there is / there are, prepositions and adjectives; the past simple; and "going to" for the future.
- Is there practice, or just explanations?
- Every topic ends in practice — gap fills, word-order builders, listening questions and a short exam — so you find out whether a rule stuck before moving on, rather than at the end of a chapter.
- How big is the word list?
- 893 words across sixteen categories, from food and family to work, health and travel. Every card carries the word, its part of speech, pronunciation audio, the meaning in your language and an example sentence, and the deck keeps what you have not learned yet.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. The lessons, the audio and the vocabulary all ship inside the app, and your progress lives on the device. There is no account, no sign-up and no internet needed.
- What does it cost?
- The app is free to download and the first three topics are free, with no account and no ads. Pro unlocks all 36 topics and every exercise, as a monthly or annual subscription.
- Which devices does it run on?
- iPhone and iPad, on iOS. There is no Android or web version.
